It really feels awful when you are experiencing a hangover. It is one of the worst feelings of uneasiness and discomfort. You cannot really describe what you are feeling but it is close to having an indescribable aching on your head and stomach.

Hangover is what people usually feel after a night of partying, of drinking too much especially with the mixed alcoholic drinks and those who drank too much who are not really used to heavy drinking. You may feel the fun and enjoy the whole night but afterwards you will be feeling sorry for yourself for not being able to control your behavior.

There are some ways and tips you can follow so that you can avoid having hangover. These are effective ways that will guide you before you decide to drink and party the night away.

First, make sure that you have eaten before heading to the party or get together. You can have some crackers, sandwich or salad. It is important that you have something on your stomach before drinking any alcoholic drinks. Make sure you have eaten and digested just enough and not too much. If you drink with an empty stomach, you will surely easily get drunk and mess up the systems of your body. So it is important to have something that your system can digest to process the alcohol you take in.

Second, do not rush on your liquor. Just take your time and drink your liquor slowly. It will not only keep you from getting drunk easily but it will also help you to enjoy the effects and feeling of the liquor. It is important that you enjoy everything about the party, the music, the people, the food, drinks and other fun offered. Drinking is not the main point of going to a party, it just adds up to the fun. Always keep the pace and know how to control.

Next, know your limitations. Never drink too much that you know you can handle. Always know your limits and stop when you know you have reached your limits. Even if your colleagues and friends force you or dare you to drink more, don’t do it because you might just end up in trouble or any other problem. Saying no is not bad especially if it is or your own good.

Second to the last reminder, don’t drink different alcoholic beverages in one time. Remember not to mix liquors. If you started with beer, end the night with beer. It is not a good idea to drink beer, then whiskey, brandy and other mixed drinks. Doing so will surely upset your stomach. Never experiment or try to impress others by doing anything that would later on make you suffer.

Last but not the least, avoid alcoholic drinks which are unlawfully made because you are not sure of its quality, strength and potency. It is better to be safe than sorry.

After the event, it is good to have at least eight hours of sleep to let your body have rest and have the alcohol metabolized.
